- Will the nozzles work in any helmet?
- Any full face helmet or half face with a mic. No cutting, drilling, etc. Use safety wire to secure nozzles in helmets with a face grill to avoid making any small holes in the grill. Use the link at the top of the home page to see Pyrotect and Impact installs.
- How long do the batteries last.
- The pump battery should last for up to 40 liters of pumped water between charges - regardless of the reading on the battery indicator. The button battery will last for months between replacements (CR2032 coincell).
- Will this work in my race car?
- Yes. We sell a button mount for mounting the button on steering wheel spokes, dash, roll cage.
- Will the button drown me if I crash my bike?
- This has not happened to our knowledge. If you pull on the magnetic disconnect to separate the helmet from the bladder, water cannot pump at all.
- Will the button break if I crash my bike?
- Not a common issue but it has happened to a few customers. We sell a replacement button for $24.50 if you show us you broke it. We recommend using the button guard included in the box.
- Is it waterproof?
- Yes all of our items including the electronics are waterproof. The coin cell battery in the button is not typically waterproof but water resistant. If you paint the seam of the battery with nail polish, it will be waterproof. Regardless, our design minimizes water inside the button and even if the battery gets wet it will function. If totally soaked, you should replace that battery when you can.
- How is LiquidAider different than another option I've seen in the SCORE Journal?
- Almost totally different approaches. We give you perfect effortless hydration on demand. Plus our approach works for any existing helmet, any bladder, any bike or vehicle. We are also about 10x cheaper and it's not a toy or gimmick.
- Will my button ever interfere with another LiquidAider system or other device?
- Can multiple riders share the bike with the button on it?
- Yes. Perfect for team races like Baja 1000. You can pair the button to any number of pumps, so if everyone has a LiquidAider then all the riders can pair their pumps to the one button.
- Will we sponsor you?
- Honestly, probably not. You can always ask. When you see our customers using the system, its because they bought it and this includes some of the best riders and drivers in the country.
